Is adsense for me?

My site a football forum which is growing rapidly. For example yesterday my site received over 25,000 unique visitors and over 1,000,000 hits.

I have placed ads on the site before but no money because no clicks. What I ideally want is a service that will pay say 0.30 cents per 1,000 impressions, can adsense do this??

Also if people want to have a look at my site so they can recommend the best form of add revenue then please send me a message.

    Thanks

My experience with forums is that 1 in 20 first-time visitors click an Adsense ad.

(Aggressive ad placement may get more clicks).

If you are getting 20000 first-time visitors, you may get around 1000 clicks.

Assuming an average value of 10 cents per click, you will make $100 in a day. (Sports isn't a high paying niche).

$100 per million impressions is $0.1 eCPM.

You should try it yourself and see...that would be much better..:D.

It's kind of odd for you to mention that even though there is high UV per day, there has been no click at all. Why not put up a banner on your forum to rent out the space? I'm sure with that kind of traffic, it shouldn't be tough to get a decent sponsorship money from major sports kits.

You could maybe set up a deal with an affiliate site where you get paid per refferal through people clicking their banner link on your site?

Adsense is hit and miss. If you use it as your only source of income, often times you will be disappointed. It is great as a supplement to another source of revenue.

Adsense use to be one of the top money maker but that has died in the last couple of years. Partly due to the fact that everyone from mama to little brother is starting a blog and know all about Adsense. This means they are less likely to click the ads.

    Hi Unibuddies,

Have you ever considered adding cpa ads instead? I did on several sites and it has outperformed Adsense. Why not test it to see?

Here is my take on this. You have gold mine but it is becoming difficult for you to get the gold for you. If AdSense is not working, you should explore other ways to monetize. Affilate marketing. Find out what kind of stuff will sell better in your niche. May branded t-short, caps, sports cards, etc. I don't know. But you should explore this opportunity.

You should try to hook up with sites that sell sports memorabilia, equipment, and stuff like that.

Adsense is for everyone. It's the easiest money maker on the internet.

You should check the placement and color of ads
