Are EPC determined by keywords or by the users browsing history? For those who are observant, Im sure you have noticed that the advertisements displayed by google are relevant to the content that you have been previously browsing, and more often than not, will determine which ads are displayed on adsense websites. I just want to understand what is the ultimate factor when Google decides which ads to display. Is it: 1. Users content browsing/history 2. Keywords on webpage 3. Combination of both? If so which one carries more weight? Thanks
I've noticed a majority of the adsense ads displayed on my site are contextual, and maybe a 10-20% of the ads displayed are based on their interests and previously browsed websites.
I would think its based on the keywords of the content on the page more than their browsing history, if that even is a factor
