Is Adsense color blending kosher?

Hello All,
This is my first post and i wanted to see if you can give me some gudance. I have created a layout page and my color and design setup resembles Google's rectangluar ad box (you can see the layout here http://static.flickr.com/29/62368895_82fbd33b3d_o.jpg )

I'd appreciate any comment.

but why so straightforward ? Why the standard template ?

This looks like you really wanted to copy google ad.

The design looks ugly.

Better remove the border ! And that's what works good!
It will look like you made the ads look like your page.

I think you are in a gray area... one thing is blending in the ads, but another thing is just tricking your visitors

 

In my oppinion you did a great job here and it looks nice with the overall design.

By making your layout similar to the ads' look, the layout became a bit boring.

 

And what are the results with this layout? Does it help the CTR?
