Even though you weren't addressing me, I agree with you, but there are some sites where I use a combination only because some people prefer to click on text link ads (like google adsense) instead of banner ads. But your analysis is basically correct.
"I love adsense because once you have your 'adsense machine' operating, you can just go out and build another site, then another, and so on. It's more auto pilot." quite an interesting quote.. seems you are a die hard adsense fan.. and it must be giving you a lot of success!!
my answer to that is... DEPENDS... OR DEPENDS... As both are completely different and really effective at the same time
At this point, I wouldn't say adesense is giving me a lot of success. I make my living online, so at this point, I make more with affiliate marketing (hell, I even make more money writing content for webmasters). However, that said the adsense income I have is something that I set up and then forget about. I could put more effort into promoting adsense, but I have bills to pay and the fact that each and every unique who visits my affiliate sites will potentially make me $25 or more is just too good to pass up right now. That's the factor a lot of people don't look into: the fact that payout at CJ ($25) can be made with a single visitor. That means a brand-new site could actually put money in your pocket in a month, whereas a brand-new adsense site (even one with a ton of traffic and excellent CTR and EPC) will take hundreds of visitors and minimally 2.5 - 3 months to actually put money in your pocket. Long-term though, I think adsense is important because you don't need to keep promoting your sites to keep making money. Also, you don't need to worry about whether a given merchant decides to end their affiliate relationship with CJ. With adsense, the ads are automatically updated and all go to an active advertiser. In other words I do both, adsense and affiliate marketing and love them both for different reasons.
you told me to ride on both boats, but still dint told me the trick to place the ads n how to market them more?
CJ is better than Adsense... AdSense can ban you for nothing, and CJ is an affiliate program which have a lot of good offers
I don't think there is really a good answer to CJ vs. AdSense. It really depends on what the content of your site is and who your visitors are. CJ can be very good to you - and so can AdSense.
Depend on the business model and the structure of your site. Technically, if your site receiving more than 2k UV per day, you should give CJ a try.
Youll never make substantial money on adsense alone unless you have a boatload of traffic. Best to use multiple things together, not just CJ or adsense.
Both are equally good, even I have both accounts and have been using them since long time and its going smooth. Revenue generation will depend upon your efforts that you will put to promote your site. If your site is getting good traffic and from genuine source then their is no reason that you will not earn good. If its still not working then try changing location of you ads make it more visible, you ads are way down on your web page brieng them on top.
Simply put, it all depends on what type of information is on your website. Good write ups equals solid sales.
