is Adsense allowed on sites with gambling content?

I'm running a contest portal and blog. Can I put a banner for other gambling website(eg; casino) altogether Adsense banner on the same page?

Is this against Adsense TOS?

I think you should consult adsense team

 

I think you can. You are not only to put adsense ads if your website is a gambling website but you can put any ads that you want on your site as long as they are not identical to adsense ads.
Since your website is not related to gambling but you only have a banner ad there, I think you are ok.

 

Thats what I thought in the first place. I'll try contact Adsense for further clarification and at the same time googling around for similar post/topic.

A lot of misinformation here.

Google does indeed allow adsense on pages with gamblig content, most obviously all of topix.net's gambling pages like

http://www.topix.net/games/poker

Notice that they have gambling content, ads to online gambling sites, and adsense.

Google enforces one policy for small operators, and another for sites like Topix, which they specifically allow to not obey their normal guidelines.

A small site has no chance for such an exemption though.

Well livingingermany rightly said that you can use Adbrite. They are almost as good as Adsense for my site, but the only thing it lacks is that it slows down your site's loading

 

I just made a site that is basically one of those free arcade sites, but only has flash based casino games. Can adsense go on that? They're just games, you can't bet real money.

Almost all flash game sites have adsense ads right by these games. I wish I'd known this before I went to the trouble of making it lol.

 

You can run gambling campain on adwords but you can't insert adsense on gambling site!
