I have been reading blogs saying that people that are web smart do not really click on adsense ads. Which brings me to my question of, is it even worth your time to put up adsense on your site if it has decent traffic?
I use Google search all the time and I click on ads all the time. Especially when I'm shopping for something and the dispalyed ad offers some sort of deal targeting the thing I'm shopping for. And often, the top organic search results aren't a good match for exactly what I'm looking for. My suggestion would be to target words very specifically and match them with the landing page. There's nothing that angers me more than to search for a dell 24' computer monitor and click on an ad that takes me to a page that has nothing to do with that product and I then have to navigate around to find the thing. I'll back out and find a better search result on Google in less time than it takes to surf someone's site. And I imagine a lot of people are like that.
We have B2B websites and AdSense is of on value to us. Its value is based on what the website is about.
It has nothing to do about whether a smart person wants to click on the adsense ads. A person could still click on the ads based on interest on wanting to find out and learn more about the product.
