Hey, I was wondering if I could ask a question of the people making 4 figures or more a day from Adsense... Are your websites run primarily by yourselves, or do you work as part of a team? The reason that I'm asking is that I'm having trouble writing up enough content for my site. And don't always find free articles too suitable. Kind Regards, fcmisc.
Im not making 4 figures a day (quite yet) but I probably will be before too far into Q1 06. Honestly, if asked just the way you did, this question has no answer. There are too many factors involved. #1 being your own personal skill set. Some people just get lucky and find a great niche and earn 4 digit adsense daily off one site. So they really don't need much help in terms of hiring somone to admin the site because they may know PHP and HTML and can design and code the site themselves. BUT... they may not be server admins and with that kind of traffic a dedicated server is a must and they may need to hire an admin to run the server and handle maintenance. Others have 20 to 100 sites and need to hire people for a variety of things. Like design, coding, server admining, SEO, Promotion, content writing.... But if you're a person with all those skill sets or you run a site that doesn't need it like an army of scraper sites, you may not need anyone. You can also just take on a partner with a skill set that compliments yours instead of hiring someone.
Generally speaking I'd say its a team effort, sub out anything you can. You'd be surprised what you can get done for $4/hour by qualified people. Spend your time doing more important tasks such as planning and launching new sites. Also either have software written or write software to automate every step you can as well, that was my key.
$4/hour! What a bargain! Do you have any advice on where I can get cheap custom written articles on a topic of my choice? For example, if I wanted a 1,000 word story on the Refco scandal, where should I go?
God (if ever there was one) really loves you if indeed you are the person who is good at everything. There are so many different facets to website building, from pre-launch (information gathering and research, graphic design - logo, images, layout, coding) to post-launch (marketing, site maintenance) that very few people are capable of achieving all that by themserlves. Of course, it is always possible for one person to start out with a small site and does everything himself. What I have found is that if you know for a fact that you are not good at something (e.g. graphics or writing), do not spend hours and hours trying to make that image look better or make that prose read better. It wont Try to concentrate on the tasks that you are good at and get someone else to do the rest.
