Is AdSense a distraction for affiliate sales?

I am having a dilemma of whether or not to put AdSense ADS on my blog that is built specifically for affiliate sales.

On one hand, I see it as a bonus because I am making some extra change on visitors who perhaps weren't planning on buying the product anyway.

On the other hand, I feel as if it is a distraction and might potentially send a buy to another affiliate's website.

So, my question is – Does mixing/combining AdSense with affiliate channels on the same page decrease profits or increase profit?

    Hi,

I think it does. What truly matters is the way you market your business in general. About 95% of people fail in online marketing. I hope you are not one of them. I may have some valuable suggestions for you. Please feel free to send me your contact details or just drop me a line any time if you need some assistance in marketing. Have a nice day.

I've never used adsense on any of my landing pages, solely for this reason.

Any type of ads, may they be image ads or contextual ads it's pretty much the same story.. They do distract your customers, and you might end up losing tons of sales because of them.

If you've been using adsense, you may already have noticed that even in targeted traffic (you need roughly 100,000 impressions to make $100 in most niches). I suppose you're not into that type of income :)

The sites that use both affiliate links and adsense are sites that don't earn that much. Used side by side, they do perform better than just one type.

But true sites that use the full power of affiliate sales or leads can use Adsense in them.

It depends. I asked myself all the times. I got 2 blogs selling a software and after a couple of months, i decided to try adsense. I think i will remove it as i ain't selling as it used too.
