Is adding a traffic trading script / plugin to Wordpress good or bad for SEO?

I think you can try this : http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/terribl/ and you can search for many more on word press, u surely will get what you want.

Why you or anyone would want to generate synthetic traffic in the first place ? I don't think it's a good idea as that kind of traffic won't be of any use to you, it'd only consume resources of the server the site is hosted on.
