I might be emailing Google about this one, but I'd like to hear your opinions. I'm thinking about starting a website that has only videos for a certain niche. So the pages would basically consist of an embedded video with a short description of it (1 or 2 sentences). Is that enough content to display ads?
I also had a video site for a while, so I think adsense on video page should be ok. But there is one thing about CPC, it's *very* low: $0.01 to 0.03, mostly 0.01.
I've been making money with adsense for well over a year now and I'm just going to give you my honest opinion - no, not enough. Now, if you include some text, some verbiage about the videos either above or below the videos, then I'd say that this would be good and enough for adsense. You have to remember that in order for adsense to show relevant ads on your site it needs some kind of text and/or verbiage in order to do that. Just my opinion. Hope this helps. When in doubt, contact google adsense and ask them! I've done this over a thousand times in the past year or so. They will always answer. But, with that being said - it may not be the answer you want to hear. You can go ahead and do what you want and earn a pile of money. BUT, if and when, and the when will come, if you're not doing things right - they're going to drop you like a hot-potato! I wouldn't risk it. Ask.
