Is a MP3 Search Engine Legal?

    Hi guys,

    I'm thinking about making an mp3 search engine where users can search for music then It provides results with sites where they can play that music from.

    Is this site ok with the Google AdSense policy?

    Please let me know.

    Only is the source of those mp3 files is legal. I have a feeling the answer to that is 'no'.

    And even if it was, you;re still going to have folks complain to adsense about it. You may have to defend your account from those reports.

    Linking to pirated stuff is against the Google AdSense TOS. TorrentZ is also a search engine not hosting any file but linking to pirated music which clearly in violation of AdSense program policies.

    Try other ad networks, i won't think they will object.

    It's against Adsense TOS but a lot of websites have it on. Heck, people even have it on movie streaming websites!

    Google has a mp3 search engine itself but it doesn't allow you to download the mp3, just lets you to listen to it.
    Maybe if you make something like that is legal? Not sure...

    not sure, but lots of mp3 search engine site use google as their ads provider, and they are never get banned.(I don't know why)
