Pretty much what the title says...Should I register a domain incorporating two strong keywords separated by a dash -? ie. Book-Store...Auto-Dealer

It's good from an SEO standpoint if you're simply working at being seen for that keyword (of course, a lot of work is necessary to do so), but from a branding standpoint, it's not as good...most people tend to forget the dash and will type in the non-dashed version for future return visits.

Exactly as the poster above said. Are you looking to build a site just to get SEO traffic and generate clicks... or are you actually attempting to build a brand?

You know I guess I'm still trying to find the right balance of branding and clicks. I can get a domain name that says exactly what i want it to say, but it has to be separated by a dash. Originally, I was going to go for clicks as this was kind of an extra project I wanted to do and it has the benefit of having two strong keywords. In other words, when people google this subject, they use both words. The combo gets more than a million global searches a month. But, you're both right, the dash kills branding.
