Is a dofollow comment useful in terms of backlink, if i use my name instead of anchor text in the name field. I'm asking this because most of the reputed dofollow bloggers don't approve comment if keywords are used in the name field. So, will i get some SERP and PR boost by doing this. Please Help. Thanks
in do follow it`s not good. but if you dont have any choice than do it. anyway when it`s come to no follow the anchor text is not pass to the link so you can use your name there.
I've achieved some good SE results from only nofollow links, so I'm not convinced Google uses them quite the way we think. Yahoo and Microsoft ignore the nofollow tag as far as I know.
It's not a bad thing to mix up your anchor texts once in awhile. If the majority of your backlinks have your name instead of your keyword, then your SEO efforts are not as effective as they could be, but a few backlinks with your name instead of your keywords will still help.
Using anchor good for SE but spammy for the site owner and if youre anchor is long enough your comment might be deleted even if its good.
As others have said, keyword anchor text is better but it's also good to mix it up. I find that my keyword anchor text gets accepted at least 90% of the time. But then again my keyword fits the topic of the blog and I add value to the blog with my comment. I would imagine that if your keyword doesn't fit with the theme of the blog then it's a lot less likely that your comment will be accepted, especially if your anchor text is usually associated with spam (gambling, adult related links etc.). If I'm reading an SEO blog, for example, and I want to make a comment, I will always use a name, because my site has nothing to do with SEO therefore my anchor text doesn't fit with the theme of the blog.
regardless of using anchor or not, if your write a high quality comment, a Long comment of 250+ words , the owner will keep your comment most of the times because he will think that you deserve the link because you are bringing extra value to his article and blog.
if you're trying to rank for your name than it's good, otherwise it's useless. I'd rather have a comment with keywords on nofollow than with my name on dofollow.
Some blog owners will except some like; Dave @ Digi Point With that format you get your name and the keywords.
If blog owners asking you to provide keywords on comments section means, you can provide. otherwise you need to use your name.
