Hi, Dp members first of all Happy New Year to all of you (sorry if i am late I want to buy a expired domain which is more then 8 years old.Have 1pr and alexa is not good.And it was an agency or organization, they have bought new domain and leaved this one.It was a health issues related website i have checked on archives.org. It is a .com domain and have 8 words. not a keyword domain but i think it is a good domain for health related articles blog,it also contains "help" word.I have heard many times that domain age is good for SEO thats why I am asking you should I buy this domain name? and good thing is that it is available for normal registration price,means just 10$ from godaddy. Waiting for your replies.
check for backlinks ... if the site still has a good number of backlinks existing on the internet ... then its good buy.
If it was dropped you're buying it for the backlinks and not the age which reverts back to 0. As for the links and PR it may or may not disappear, if the inner pages passed any link juice you'll lose those pages unless you can get them back up before they disappear from the searchengines. If it's not keyword related somehow... I dunno, it's pretty long and won't be remembered.
