It's decent - but don't be satisfied with it! Keep making adjustments until you can get it higher. I can manage to get 7's for many of my most important keywords, but anything higher than that is very difficult. I'm still working on it...
Make sure you name your images as something relevant. If they are named irrelevantly Google will take off quality score points Rather than naming them irrelevantly just use numbers, they don't take off any points for using numbers.
A QS of 7 is more or less average. But try to improve it. The maximum is 10. Learn more in the Adwords FAQ. You may also want to brush up on Adwords guidelines and policies.
i wouldn't say 7 is average... 7 is very good indeed. Well of course it depends on the keyword as well. Look at the following on your landing page to improve your QS: meta data meta description title H1 / H2 / H3 etc headings keyword density alt text If you get these right you will get 10 QS. good luck, d
Assuming your keywords are relevant, there's only one thing that will increase your QS: increase your CTR. Changing page titles, descriptions, H1 heading, alt text will do nothing.
A QS of 7 is not bad, but that is sort of the going score if everything is ok. One thing to remember is that the higher your QS, the lower your CPC. Some of my Adgroups started out with a QS of 5, with a very high CPC. After some optimizing, I got it to a 10, and the CPC dropped to a quater of the original CPC!
Thanks everybody for helping me. All of you quoted great tips regarding quality score and reduction in cost. GCS
well Lucid Web Marketing, you better learn it early... all of those i mentioned count. If you have a google account manager just ask him! CTR is important, no doubt about that. It can be improved quickly with a good and relevant ad copy. Those that i have mentioned are not so obvious factors but also very important.
7 is pretty good, it's definitely not bad. Just keep optimizing and it will improve (a 10 is pretty hard though)
Lots of useful advice in this thread. I will try optimizing my adwords campaigns and hopefully get to QS 10.
It's all relative... Personally, I won't care a lot about QS. If a QS of 7 is giving me more profits than a QS of 9, I'm all for it.
Remember QS is 80% ctr and 20% everything else. The mistake most make is they focus on the 20% everything else.
Google always defaults me to qs 7 and I haven't been able to get it any higher ever. Once I had a site w/ clickbank on it and the default was qs 0 though lol.
