Is $500 enough to invest in the stock market short term?

    I'm sure you can find investments for $500. But the terms 'short term', 'investing' and 'stock market' do not belong together. You can invest in the stock market - but it would have to be long term to be considered investing (IMO). If your time frame is short you are gambling (IMO).

    Check out the symbol PAL. Their stocks charts are like a heart rate monitor and consistently doing that. I would go after them for a short amount of time. They are at their low right now.

    check out prosper dot com as well, they do micro loans to people who need short term cash. You get to set your rate of return, and choose the ventures you want to be involved in.
