Is $50 of Google credit significant?

I saw this site that said they would give $50 credit on Google if you sign up with them as a bonus. How much traffic can $50 give?

I predict you're talking about adwords, that depends upon your niche and competition. what is the exact thread you found this offer?

Well I don't know what it is, it was very vague, it just said $50 Google Credit to help promote site.
My niche is short videos, video blogs, animated shorts, and comics.

How does Google adwords work? Does it only count if someone clicks on it? I don't know if $50 of Google Credit could actually drive in traffic.

when anyone offers $50 credit towards adwords, they want you to buy something from them. for example: hosting packages. you can use that credit when you open a new adwords account with google. existing adwords members don't get that credit. since it depends on how much it cost you to bid for one keyword, your trafic depends on how much keyword in your niche costs. some keywords might cost 10 cents, some might cost as much as $10 or more. besides, you just don;t need traffic, you need converting traffic as you are paying for each click.

Well since it is a credit I'm not technically paying. Hmmm, I have no idea how much my niche costs. Is there a list somewhere I can look up?
I heard that a person has to cancel the account immediately after the credit is over or else they will have to pay money when it runs out?!?

$50 is a good chunk of change. I make good money advertising on Google with less than $10 a day. Note that you have to pay $5 signup fee though with Adwords.

Is the $5 included in the $50?

I think for that promotion that the person referred to, it's $55 credit. But the $5 sign up cost means that it is essentially $50 credit.

$50 could definitely kick start an ad campaign. Besides, free money is free money. ;)

You can do the math if CPC for your ad is $0.10 you can get 500 clicks or visitors to your site and at just 5% conversion you have 25 visitors who purchased. Ofcourse, with higher cpc, you will get fewer visitors but still you can make money with this $50 adword credit.

You sure can make good money on a $50 credit voucher, but considering you know very little about the process the $50 will just get you a cheap learning experience on how things work.

Ya I had some pretty expensive learning experiences as an adwords newbie. I strongly recommend reading the wealth of information that google provides you with. I know it is boring as heck, but it is valuable nonetheless. Also these forums contain a considerable amount of practical adwords advice.
