offcourse i agree that traffic is always important for a successful online business (website), i will suggest you to start working on Backlinks , try to submit in as many free directories as you can, exchange link with similar sites as yours, and do some onsite SEO tech..
Still same thing i totally agree with intenretmarketing & DAN , visitors don't matter. I have a site it's getting 80-100 visitors daily after 4 months work. But my client is very happy because he is selling his products with this such a small amount traffic. SO traffic quantity does not matter but traffic quality matters. Your conversion rate shud be fine. Main thing is money if u get then ok else worth.
I think we are all facing the problem of driving targetted traffic? I drive targetted traffic to my website, approximately 100-200 UV everyday initially. But, the recent change in Google's algorithm drop and there is still targetted traffic to my website. Although I start making one sale after every 7 days instead of the usual 5 days gap (a rough gauge). I am not trying to say Dan is wrong. I respect Dan as a senior member...But more UV does help?
It'll help, and don't always blame everything on Google either. There's also a LOT of off-line factors to consider as well. And indiaseo85 does have a good point - you need to get the word out if you intend to be noticed (the advice he gave is best applied to new Web sites, not existing ones).
It is related with niche of your website. I've got some websites in my portfolio (2-3 year old) with 40-50 daily visitors, but these websites completely occupy their niche. For this niche it is impossible to have significantly more visitors. But sometimes these small websites make profit bugger than other sites with 2-5K visitors a day....
You should aim for higher. I get about 25-30 visitors a day on my sports blog that I do as a hobby (no marketing).
Did you guys even bother reading this thread? As I said before, it sounds like this is a NEW site, not an established one.
I would rather have 30 targeted visitors who are interested in what I have to offer than 1,000 visitors who could care less and wouldn't plan to revisit. But you should always aim higher. Continue writing high quality articles/content and getting high quality back links. Don't stop and don't give up.
30 vistors is good for initial day or new websites you need to do some seo by creating backlinks and all to attract 100 or may be 500 visitors a day use seo techniques beside original content on your website
Sure, I'm a newb at this site, but not at the Internet or Internet marketing and such. It seems that only a handful of people here are 'seeing' the root point here of 'traffic' vs. 'quality traffic'. It's been said in here before so I won't simply recycle the point, but my pair 'o' pennies is that I'd rather get a lower UV hit as long as those visitors are in my targeted market, rather than thousands of UV's that simply came across my site that have NO interest in what my content is. At the end of the day, we're trying to run businesses, not have the highest score on the playground. -Rich
for it defends upon the quality traffic that you gain if that is targeted traffic and been converting into sales and a traffic coming from normal way then it is a good traffic, It is easy to get a lot of traffic but is it quality the important part about traffic is not how many you gain a day but how many traffic are converting which would you prepare? for i stick with the quality one.
30 is not bad for a start... and it also really depends on the niche of your site... Some things do better online than others... I think 200-500 is average... Anything above 1000 uniques per day is good traffic!
