    17% is pushing it.

3% sounds reasonable. It all depends on the site and its integration.

It's an automated blog about gadgets and stuff like that.
The avg page impression is 218 and avg clicks is 11. Safe buy or a risky one?
    Any help will be appreciated.

I can't imagine an automated gadget blog with 17% ctr

    that seems sketchy

the 17% was only once. Avg is 5.39% .
Another thing is alexa is showing a clear drop in traffic while the stats pics show same traffic

I dunno what to tell you. I've only seen that kind of CTR on a hobbyist website, but hey, maybe their ad placement is great

If it is a low traffic, niche, content site, that seems like a reasonable range. It's obvious that CTR is all over the place depending on lots of impossible to measure factors.

Alexa stats as you know have webmaster bias so they shouldn't be trusted.
I had a 12% CTR on one of my websites, but with few impressions a day it is too risky to go for the buy.
