    Link pyramid and links schemes will harm your website. The cost of $299 is not a higher price for SEO. If your earning potential is high, you could spend more for SEO. But if your earning potential is low, you should go for low cost solutions. We can't say a price for SEO. SEO is marketing. Marketing is the key of your business.

    Don't worry, it depends on what they are offering you.

    If they give you just 5-8 low-medium competition keywords, then it is way too much. However, If they can give you page 1 results for highly competitive keywords, its very well worth the money. In fact if that is the case, do let me know which company is it as I may be interested.
