hi all, im just wondering if these profits are possible from a basic site?? or is this just ebook/ebay marketing hype??? im looking to buy a website eventualy, aslo what is meant by BIN when selling websites J
What is your definition of a "basic website"? BIN = Buy It Now (the price you can pay to buy the site now, without having to bid, etc)
BIN = Buy it now. The price asked for a site if you want to buy it immediately without having to wait for the auction to end, or to participate in the auction further.
wow thanks for all the info this must be one seriously popluar forum!!! so if i bought a site for say 5k, would thoses profits be possible does anyone reccommend buying website of this site or is it rip off central???
Well that will depend on the site that's up for sale. You need to be very careful to believe claims from people. Ask for proof of income from the specific site. Where does the traffic come from? Perhaps the current owner has multiple, very popular sites that are driving traffic to the site that's up for sale. If they sell the site they aren't likely to keep those links up and the site's traffic might drop like a stone. Be sure that you know all the facts before buying a site.
Maybe we should refer to another question. How to increase your earning capabilities? Many of us almost always forget the very popular saying that you can have all you want as long as you will help others get what they need. What this simply means is that you should be focused on helping your friends to build their own networks because when you do this you are ultimately building your own network and increasing your earning capabilities as well. Their success is your success. By helping them in any way you can, you will not only help build your reputation and credibility -- you will build your profits.
If you are looking to buy a site rather than developing one, I would wait a while until you know what to expect when buying a site. It takes a while to familiarise yourself, though.
If you are new to Adsense, I would not recommend buying a site. Start one and learn the basics. That's the problem with many people who start businesses, they spend all their money to prematurely advance ahead, but didn't learn anything and end up failing.
Don't buy the site (for 5 grand, at that) until you know what you are doing and will be getting. You sound like a newcomer to this, so I would advise you to continue researching internet marketing, e-commerce, etc, so you'll know what to do with that site if you do decide to buy it. Don't rush in hoping to "make money on the net". It really isn't as simple as that. The fact that you are asking questions is a good start. Good luck.
If, in fact you are new, don't just go and buy a site. Build one from scratch yourself and learn the basics of being a webmaster. Then, if you feel you are ready to buy the site for 5k, do it. (unless your first site is doing great ) ps. Jack, I've been wanting to tell you that your avatar is amazing
thanks for the advice, yeah you are right build mu own site and learn it all from the ground up, what program is best to build your own webite??
