For most purpose, yes. If it is too long, dont expect any type in traffic.

If your after type in traffic then yes most likely. If your going to build a website on it and are looking to get natural search engine traffic then from my experience the length doesn't really matter too much.

I don't think the name will get any type in traffic at all.

Don't register it unless you will be depended purely on organic traffic sources, such as search engines....

All that matters is your incoming anchor text links. That's what will give you a ranking in the SERPS. Doesn't matter what the hell your domain is. Type in "click here". Is that a website called, clickhere.com. Nope. It's an Adobe Reader download page.

If its a common word in the English dictionary, then go for it. But there are very few of those.

It depends, it could be or it might be fine. Really depends on the quality of the name. These days there are more & more longer names that sell for good money, but really depends on the name.

It is hard to find a short domain anymore so you are going to have to go with longer domain names. Try to make sure the words are short and easy to remember and always Cap. the first letter in each word when you use the domain name in print. This will make it easier for people to remember it. Use good content on your landing page and that will help for search engines.

Shorter is better for people to remember but we can't always get what we want.

it allways depends what it is and how many words are in it...but ya the short ones are all taken brokerage houses that want to charge outrageous prices for them

If it is a two word generic, surely it will get some type in traffic,
If the domain is a product name with marketability. It is valuable. Take care it should be memorable

I think you should consider whether your domain will have a good name recall.
