$10 per day? Even with a 5% CTR, you'd have to have a very high CPM to make that. Are there keywords out there that still pay $2 a day? Most, like mesothelimoa, have gone down significantly.
One thing to consider is how you are counting your visitors. Some stats packages count anything as a unique vistor. Since you have a blog you probably get a lot of visits from blog crawlers. Obviously these crawlers aren't going to be click on ads!
i have adsense on 3 websites (one of them makes 99% of revenue) i hope the other 2 will bring in the exponential revenue growth that i seen in the last year with my first site!
Well, we were talking about a situation of 100 uniques and a click through of 1% resulting in $0.25 on a daily basis. What I try to say is that, you should be able to make your number of clicks pr. 100 visitor rise from 1 to anything from 2-10 which would result in an income of $0,50 to $2,50. An average of $0,25 per click doesn't sound bad, but there might be room for improvement in the long run by continuing to focus on higher paying keywords. It's a difficult game, but one of the ways might be to only show one or two ad-blocks thereby getting the higher yielding clicks only. Still, $10 on a hundred unique visitors would always be considered a very good result indeed and difficult indeed.
Also take into consideration how many outbound links you have on your ad pages. You'd want to leave your adsense as a last resort for clicking away from your page, but you'd rather have adsense clicked than an outbound link, right? Keep this in mind...
Another popular approach used by many webmasters is to make your webpage good enough to with selfesteem send a user away from your page without fearing they'll never return. The key element to succeeding in this is to offer content worth bookmarking / returning too. Then you can enjoy the luxury of repeted adsense clicks from your visitors.
Take a gander on this sites: http://uv.bidtool.overture.com/d/USm/search/tools/bidtool/ www.iotaweb.org/ It may help or not.
Guys, it all depends on the niche that you're in. Some keywords pay a few cents and others pay more. It's called 'keyword research'... Some sites like forums don't pay that much, since users are just there to read, and if you have regular return users it means that they're coming back to read your content, not to click on your ads again (allthough technically it does increae your chances of getting clicks).
100 uniques with 1 click? You should have be able to get alot higher then a 1% ctr on your ads. Some adsense sites I have can get up to 60% ctr rate. Having said that, alot depends on exactly the subject your adsense is on, and if you have been smart priced or not (I hate that). What sort of placement do you have for your adsense? Brad
It depends on the site layout dsm56, On some of the high ctr's I have a very very "cute" header graphic. Then a large banner directly below that. Also have a Large rectangle block mixed in with my text, Either spanning to the left or to the right. Also have text link ads mixed in with my navigation menu. Also all the traffic is targetted traffic through search engines. I find this makes your visitors much more likely to click on your ads. Brad
A technique I'm using successfully to get high CTRs is breaking my content into narrowly focused sub-topics on multiple small pages. Visitors to those pages are more likely to click on ads related to that sub-topic. CTRs in high double digits are common. One had well over 100% (due to link unit + ad units) but I removed the link unit due to low per-click payout, which reduced CTR but increased revenue. Good SEO techniques on each page helps get highly targeted search engine traffic to each page, which helps insure high CTR on relevant ads. What's a narrowly focused sub-topic, some may ask? For example, if you have a site about cars, a sub-topic might be "buying cars" and a more narrowly focused sub-topic might be "buying cars with poor credit". Another might be "buying flood damaged cars."
im happy that my site now gets 100-150 uniques per day with an average of 6-10 clicks and giving me few cents.. im averaging 0.50 a day hope to get a higher click value.... I used searchfeed, are there other ppc good enough as adsense?
I have to agree with shoemoney.com's assesment, which is IPU. Income per Unique. The average that you should be making is $0.02 per unique. I'm just about there, depending upon if blogspot.com is fucking working or not. I've blended ads, done optimal ad placement, increased my traffic at least 2x fold in the past month (hopefully blogspot's downage hasn't permantly affected my efforts), SEOing, etc. etc. fucking etc. I may not have as much traffic as the "big boys', but I AM pulling in the bare minimum IPU.
Actually I have a site with 50 uniques a day but still earning much. I think it depends on the keyword being targeted by your site. I have also a site that receives morethan 1000 uniques and with higher CTR but then it is earning lower than the first site.
I would like to get some feedback on my site. Is it against ToS to post my site URL for review? We average maybe 40 uniques a day, and yet we make no money from adsense...Well we made 1.73 the first day, but now on our third day we have no revenue at all...Anyways if its ok to post my site please give me the nod.
