Is $100 a week enough to get started with Adwords / Affiliates?

    Hello,

I have $100 a week to spend on "web bussiness ideas".

    and $2000 to get started.

Would it be possible to get going with adwords and affiliate sales with this amount???

I've read a few guides, and kind of know what my "landing mini sites" should be like.

    I'm using CJ.

Would anyone like to give a beginner, some good areas to get into for affiliates? surveys? gifts? etc.

    Thanks for the help

Hmm... order yourself a book called Adwords for Dummies. I'm not saying you'd be dumb :) - but the fact that the book is pretty good starting point.

And of course you need to search & read these forums.

EDIT: I meant Adwords, not Adsense...

    lol :p

I dont know -- i feel that I "get" adsense now. Lots of traffic = clicks = money. But the time it takes to build a site to a level where you are earning anything decent just seems too much hard work.

Each site i own only has so much potential for visitors -- and i think they've about reached it. It takes some time updating them, without having to start more to get more cash.

I'm just after trying another methord apart from adsense now -- skipping all the directory submissions, and article writing for search engines and ezinearticles -- and just wanting to pay to get the traffic to get affiliate sales.

I have some cash -- i've read about "wealthy affiliate", where people will walk you through the early stages, and they have a 8 week guide i could follow.

I'd rather not spend the money, and just learn from here though.

Thanks for the help Game Producer ;)

I think $100 a week is plenty to get started. Just remember to research your niche and find the best one. Affiliate programs can make you a good amount of money you just need to make sure you find one that isn't saturated.

I've got an offer that might be right up your alley, check my sig

To answer your question though, $100/week with $2000 startup costs is plenty to get started with. That money can sink really fast with PPC though, so I would be careful with it. If you really wanted to, you could spend all of it in a day or two and only come out making a few dollars ;)

I would definitely recommend starting out with low-paying offers first - whether it be a low payout for a lead or a % offer for a cheap purchase...Just don't chase high paying offers as a beginner, because you're likely to waste a lot of money doing that.

I'd also recommend starting with YSM and not Adwords. Adwords is a monster to start with....very hard to work with. YSM is much more beginner-friendly, and they still have a lot of volume.
