I would prefer the one website earning $400 then 5. One website is easier to manage and continue to build. Also, one website earning $400 would have a much better track record then 5
Obviously of course. I will never trade 1 site that earns higher to 4 sites that only earns less than $100.
The thing with only having one website is.... if something happens to that one site (like dropped in the SERP) or it's banned for some reason your only source of income completely dies and it will take you some time to start a brand new site... don't put all your eggs into one basket.
1 site $400/day will hardly goes to $2000/day while .. 5 sites $40/day aren't that hard to reach $400/day/site >> 5x $400 = $2,000/day need much time to handle it ?, I'll easily pay somebody for $100/day to handle those all sites... when I go on my vacation
I would prefer the 5 earning 60$ over 1 earning 400$ due to the risk factor of 1 site getting closed down.
It looks like most of the posts are converging on one of two factors... 1) One site gives you less maintenance, and less work 2) Multiple sites gives you diversification which protects from unforseen problems as well as gives you a greater chance for one of the multiple sites to "take off." The problem however, is if you are only one person, you will need help for more than one site...if you are willing/able/desirous of getting more help, then I think the diversification is better, if you are not, then the one site is better...
My thoughts exactly; if the majority of the 1 site comes from SEs then if you lose your rank you lose everything. With 5 sites the risk is minimal however with $400 per day you could use that money, invest it and improve on your SEO.
One site for 400$ earnings is better than 5 having 40 $ each, as 1 is better to manage and also these 5 sites sum upto 200$ so 400$ is always better.
1 Site. Because if you think about it, those who are making the big bucks from adsense, most of them are doing it with one site. It probably makes up 80% of their revenue if you go by the 80/20 rule. The bunch-of-sites theory sounds good, you diversify, but unless you are really coordinated, you will have an extremely hard time maintaining the sites over the long haul and they will not be earning as much if you just focus all your energy on one site. Besides, if Google were to ever suspend your account, all those sites you made to "diversify" wouldn't amount to jack anyway.
I prefer 1 big site that earn more, than to have 5 small sites earn less. Don't forget about cost for domain name and hosting, not just revenue.
Aww come on I don't wanna repeat this : Go to the site > login > insert content (note: 5 TIMES TOTAL) > check > double check > close browser.
at starting google adsense i also think like this but now i know one site is better then 5 or more site because its easier to control and easier to get good rank so make 1 site but good one best of luck
I think it's better to have 5 sites at $80 each. If i tried to sell them later it easier to sell them at lower BINs and get serious offers rather than the $400 site which would take quite a while to sell. Besides knowing me I'd work those 5 sites to so hard they may start to earn more on each site. Where as there's only so much you can do with one site after a while.
the problem is .. if your server unexpectedly down, then you'll loss your $400/day. if your 1 site hacked, then you'll loss your $400/day. still, it'll a little bit hardly to increase daily earning .. just IMHO
Well, I would love to only maintain one site instead of 5, but sayyyyyyy... the next pr update google thinks you have done some link selling and decide that ur website is pr2 now instead of 4, and drop your serps. Thats too bad huh your 400/day site all of a sudden becomes 100/day?
