In SERPs is unique content worth the effort? I am thinking of a campaign of 1 unique article submitted to 1 unique directory fot 20 days, would this build me quality links?
Which directory are you thinking of? I often hear people talking about submission to article directories and concern about duplication. But most don't actually copy your content and just link to it, right? So I wouldn't think there would be a problem with duplicate content. Correct me if I'm wrong
Ill correct you then...you're wrong! You submit the article tot he direcotry and they host it once it's approved. The way I intend on doing it is rather than spinning it, write a unique artiucle and submit it to only 1 direcoty, this way Ino dup content. I've sussed another way too, which I will try - I;ll report back. But what I've done in the past has increased my site from PR0 to PR3 and from 2nd page Google for keyword to #7 on 1st page. I'v e a better Alexa ranking than my competitors for same keyword and more backlinks, so lets wait until next Google update. In the mean time I will keep up with the articles - this is were 80% of backlinks are coming from.
Articles are a very good way to get backlinks, sales, and traffic. After publishing on my site, I normally submit them first to EzineArticles. Once they publish it (or after 2 weeks), I submit to 4 or 5 other article directories. Zeek
This idea is worth efforts only for top article directories like ezine articles. Other low PR and trust directories won't bring much benefits.
You need to make a list of high quality article directories + ideally you would want to have more than 1 link in your article. This way it is worth it
My tip is to submit the same article with variations to atleast 10 article sites. Change the title and summary/beginning of every article then submit to multiple directories.
