I'm no tax expert here, but it's possible that a portion of that income may be taxable. I know the IRS has limits on non-taxable "gift" income. However, I have no idea what those limits are or how the tax works. On the other hand, I could be totally off base here. To be safe, I would suggest looking up the tax information on this.
