Hi, Although, my site has a ton of relevant keywords on the page and other CONTENT, I am still getting a lot of Ring Tone Ads, Marijuana Ads, Reverse Cell Phone, Zip Code ads, Customer Surveys Ads and all kinds of other non-targeted ads that have NOTHING to do with what I have on the actual page! I looked into google "section targeting" and that seems like a huge pain to go through if you have a large user driven site. What exactly does Google look at?? The Page Title, metas, URL or content to determine what ads to show? Does anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on what to do?? Would it pay to switch to Yahoo Ads? Thanks so much for your help, Terry
What's your URL? Try this link: https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=23168&topic=371
take the time to set up section targeting and be done with it. I once saw google adsense on a Bill O'reilly section of foxnews.com with advertisements for hair loss and high blood pressure.
Tyler, That link is awesome. I was just scrounging around Google a few days ago for anything similar, and I came up empty. I have a dating advice site (for men) that keeps showing homosexual ads. Nothing is getting clicked! Your link will really help me out. Thanks. -Tony
Glad to help. In your case especially, I can see why a lack of targetting was REALLY screwing up your earnings
