Just wondering if anyone has been successful at getting Google to remove irrelevant ads from "competitors" in AdWords? Some of the major terms we are targeting are not displaying relevant ads. Out of about 7 adverts (for a particular keyword) 5 are irrelevant, giving us unfair competition. What is the best way at getting Google to remove those? Any tips and tricks are highly appreciated.
I think they are not good at ppc! so don't worried about it!! Hear there are two possibilities for add tigers! - they are bidding for your keywords - they are not properly optimize the keywords( negative keywords) if they are not properly optimize the keywords ! that's not your problem! so leave it! How every, if they want to deviate your traffic for some of keywords that will not work in long term as you said, irrelevant ads= which reduce Quality score.! so just don't bothers about this type of issues! how i want to know one thing form you , as they getting irrelevant ads for keywords, your add will be in top( as all know that irrelevant ads reduce quality score so position of add will decrease). I think ur in safe side.! so no worries! there is one more possibility that they want to deviate the traffic form your site
Agree with Chaithu. They are not good at PPC and I wouldn't worry about it. The reason is that the system takes care of itself. That's what is so great about Quality Score. It will take care of those irrelevant ads because they won't get clicks. This means they will drop in position (the good ads rising toward the top) which in turn means the competition will have to bid and pay more to maintain a better position. If your own QS is good (7 and above), you're in the driver seat and a big proportion of competitors are looking up at you. Keep improving and solidify your position. Dumb competitors will wonder how you do it and simply drop out.
Clicking on other ads in an effort to exhaust their budget is unethical and morally wrong. Besides, it wouldn't work. Google has systems in place for this sort of thing. You wouldn't exhaust your competitor's budget at all, no matter how many times you'd click on their ads. What's more, you are actually helping the competitor by increasing their QS. In short it's a waste of time and I'm sure real business people have better things to do than repeatedly clicking on competitor ads.
just make sure your ads are good enough, right ad copy, right keywords, right landing page and right bid. Combination of these will put your QS higher then irrilivent ads and you wont have to worry about them ..let them spend money...
