Irrelevant ads! ARGH

Do anyone know how I can make my site show relevant ads? I keep getting ads that are completely way off in regard to what my site is about. The strange thing however is that when I open the very same pages locally on my computer the ads show correctly with relevant material. However when I open the very same pages by going to my domain irrrelevant and completely different ads show up... ?? What could be the reason for this? Many pages work correctly though its mostly the index page that has this problem as well as a couple others.

is this a new site? did you just publish it for the first time? Because, if so, it does take adsense a while to "learn" what your site's about and to insert the correct ads.

well yes its about 3 weeks old. But still, why do the ads show correctly when I load the page locally on my PC then? Its only when they are loaded from the domain on the net they get wrong

3 weeks...definitely the "newness" isn't a factor then. My ads become relevant shortly after publishing. Content. And make sure you've emphasized your keywords with <h#> tags--all that basic SEO type of stuff. If you want to post your URL, I'm sure someone here would be happy to take a look.

Check the 'Site Diagnostics' in your AdSense account - the bot might have problems crawling your site.

Also, make sure that you have your target keywords in the URL, Title and Meta tags. Something that really helped me was to add links to other sites with related content, using good anchor text.

And as Monty said, read up on Section Targeting - for example, you can use it to ignore you navigation panel. Changes can take up to 2 weeks to take effect...

The only tips i can give you is to keep adding sub pages with appropriate content, also if you can submit your website to as many directories/top sites as possible will help you to get indexed quicker. If your indexed your almost guaranteed accurate adds! :)
