What do you expect from him, GTech ?
He's another Ahmadenijad admirer. AGS should open a private club for Ahmadenijad's Admirers.

I would like to acknowledge it. In the same manner you acknowledge murtha for selling out fellow Marines. Thank you for that opportunity!

Uh oh, did you say "military-industrial complex?"

Oh I know, nioton. Our "police the world" diplomatic policy has not made the world any safer, not made our country any safer, and as one of my favorite politicians constantly preaches, has caused more of the phenomenon of blowback and endangered us more over the last 7 years rather than helped our security.

I hear ya bud. People like that always demand evidence, and then when it's presented, move on to bitch about something else.

That's why I wanted to taunt him a little before posting some of the AGS mujahadeen hall of famers :D

Cute cartoon. And yes, I acknowledge Murtha as being in the wrong and say he should apologize for his statements. Does that mean you're going to acknowledge Eisenhower as being in the right and denounce your support of preemption?

And despite this living example of delusion, our country has not been attacked since 9/11. Many plots to do so have been foiled.

Quick, someone break out the red pills!

The problem with you people is that you don't look 10, maybe 20 years ahead.
Sure, let Ahmadinejad do what ever he wants, as long as he's not attacking anyone.
Sure, let Assad do whatever he wants, as long as he's not attacking anyone.
20 years after, you'll curse yourself for being an imbecile and not seeing hell coming.

Oh, heaven's no. I don't suffer from battered wife syndrome. If I'm out with my family and someone threatens to kill one of them, I can assure you I will not idly stand by waiting for the to do so before I take action.

It's interesting that you would though.

Yea, the fact we haven't been attacked since 9/11 is entirely because we stopped big, bad Saddam. It has nothing to do with our intervention in Afghanistan, which most of the civilized world DID support our actions in.

The problem is that if you're out with your family and a pissed odd toddler tells you he's going to kill your family, you're in the wrong if you kill him to prevent that from happening. You see it as stopping an imminent threat, but the rest of the world sees it as you overreacting to a big baby who doesn't have the means to follow through.

And in response to DevilHellz, I'll curse myself if I continue to let our country degrade further and take away all of our civil rights in the name of stopping terrorism and protecting America. 20 years from now I'll curse myself for putting into office people who seek to make our country a police state all in the name of safety.

EDIT: And AGS shows a classic pic. We made Saddam into the power figure he was, and regretted it later. Maybe the solution is to not be so deeply involved in crazy Middle Eastern politics? At least until they show they are a REAL threat to us.

Yep, he sure did. His mission was to try and improve relations with my (not your) country.

It's not uncommon for representatives to meet with less than desirable people.

Pelosi met with Syria's leader recently.

    Did you have a point?

Your problem is that you have nothing to say, and you know nothing about politics. And the biggest problem is that you think your country is so great.
What your country is, is the trash of the middle east.

and Yes... I will say it again.

Your end of being monsters will come near, your end of being animals will come near.... Mark my words and put them down.

Who are "we?" Are you a part of something bigger than yourself?

We haven't been attacked because "our" (term used loosely here) government has taken their first responsibility serious. Protecting the American people. Despite the dismay of some.

Duly noted. You wouldn't protect your family. Who would you offer to the killer first, so that you could spare your own life?

GTech, are you listening? So you're saying if a toddler says he's going to kill your family, you're gonna "take him down" right there? I really want to doubt you're that irrational, so listen to the point I'm making. Self-defense, in a court of law, and a court of common sense, requires that you assess the threat. My point is that Iran is not a threat and hence it would be ridiculous to use preemption upon them.

Hah! AGS is sitting quietly in the background, waiting for his opportunity.

OK, let me predict how it will go. I've watched him do this so many times before.

AGS will bow out and let someone else take over a heated argument. Serving as an occasional cheerleader every ten posts or so.

Then, towards the end, will get vocal again and try to steal the lime light of the one doing all the work!

It's a funny pattern to watch for. You'll see what I'm talking about soon enough.

I'm listening to music. I'm reading comments.

Huh? Can you quote my post where I've mentioned anything about a toddler?

Please try to keep your strategy honest. I know it's hard.
