Iranian Traffic

Over the last couple of day I have seen a Huge increase in Iranian Traffic,Ive read on other forums that this is bad and worthless is this true should I block Iran?.

I would block them if it is of no value to you.

 

Thats why I created this thread to find out if iranian traffic will be of any use to me. Ive only read rumors its bad but need a definite anserw.

Only you know if the traffic is of any value, not sure what your website is, if the traffic is converting to cash then it is valuable.
If you just want visitors then let them role.

Why not sell something to them.

I ban Hong Kong and China from my websites, because I cannot cope with all the hacking attempts.

I use this website click on .htaccess deny, choose the country then copy and paste it into my .htaccess file.

Well I run a Proxy so i highly doubt that selling them anything will be a option.

Im going to moitor the situation over the next few days and decided what todo for the best from there.

First find out what ppl are buying online in Iran and try to sell those products on your website to utilize the traffic. that way you will get something out of it. if your traffic is relevant and coming from organic search then its good traffic so pls dont try to get rid of them .

 

The thing is from what ive read i dont trust the traffic.

 

A huge increase of traffic in a little time is (almost) always bad. My advice dont trust the traffic!! There are in this period a lot of hackers from Iranon the web al over the world. This could explain the huge increase of the traffic you mean.

 

In Europe this was on the news a couple a months a go

 

It will be hard to monetize it. In some cases you can block some countries if it's not profitable for you.
