This might be the perfect excuse for the crazy neocon bastards to ruin the Middle East even more than it already has done. Let's see what happens.

    Let's hope so mate.

UK Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett has summoned the Iranian ambassador in London to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. I would imagine a reprimand from Beckett is not unlike being hit over the head with a feather duster tough.

Let's all keep our fingers crossed that this turns out well, the last thing we need is another disaster in the Middle East. It's already pretty much ruined.

Once again, the Iranians violate Iraqi territorial integrity.

Once again, the Iranians take hostile action towards British citizens.

Once again, nothing will happen and nothing will come of it.

The British will run away with their tails between their legs. The Iranians will be emboldened. The BBC won't even become more politically moderate.

No i think British should do as israel did , declare war on IRAN , BOMB All civilian cities and destroy them .

israel did this for 2 soldiers captured , now there is 15 !! so the strike should be 7 time stronger ;)

Perhaps that would teach the ragheads a lesson and prevent further poor behavior.

If britain did that, then I think Iran would get the message....I think it would be great, blow them back to the stone age and their nuclear reactors with them...that would teach the mad moolahs not to attempt anything again...however, much like AGS, the british will run away without doing anything...so will the UN...

You mean do as hezbollah and hamas did, right? The started the war. Do you want Iran to hide behind women and children too, like your buds hezbollah did?

Goes to show Israel cares about it's people. Where you see it as a downfall, I see it as commendable. If I were a soldier and out as a civilian and some virgin seekers kidnapped me, I'd hope my country did as much for my return as Israel did.

    Wars have started over less.

It does give an indication of Iran 'testing the waters' (pardon the pun) to see what actions this will provoke. I'm guessing they have an ace or two up their sleeve they would like to shock the world with should the UK take any hostile actions in response.

exactly...they want a fight, and they are going to see how far they have to go in order to get one....remember, they are looking for an excuse to bomb Israel, while no one else is looking for an excuse to attack them.

If you don't like it, I hear that Al Qaeda is still recruiting -- put your ass where your mouth is.

It's moronic to morally equate kidnap victims with criminal prisoners. When you are arrested for robbing some old lady, are you going to scream "The police are kidnapping me!" When you get caught kidnapping, raping, and murdering a six year old girl are you going to yell "She was my prisoner! The U.S. government should not be able to decide who I can or cannot imprison!"

They dont need a reason to attack anybody. Noone does at this time. If they should be attacked for having nuclear power, Israel and US have it too, they should be attacked too in that logic.
