Israel has a nuclear capable subs. Even if it had an A-bomb dropped on it, Israel's subs would obliterate Iran.
Israel is still the strongest country in middle east. Iranian politicians are just doing politics with mouth tricks for now. But I would say they are far more smarter then Saddam. One thing they did well is not getting in a war and continued what they wanted to do, build a nuclear bomb. And apparently neither Muslim countries nor Israel want them have it.
