Ofcourse there will be, and that will cause plenty of trouble for USA. But the point is, insurgents (Not AQ terrorists) in Iraq are enjoying the help from Iran and such countries. Once the help from Iran is gone, they probably will be in deep shit(Russia or China isn't going to arm the insurgents directly). The only down side of the total scenario will be the loss of lives of Iranian people (They are very good people and not suicide bombing crazy nuts as thought by many) and the loss of US (and allies) troops. I'm not the military commander of US and certainly they got a smarter ass than mine. So it doesn't matter even if I'm underestimating the Iranian capability to fight a war. There is not doubt that American military is superior that Iranian military. And we will never know who wins and who loses unless we see the real war. As far as speculations go, I believe US is superior against Iran, military wise. You may think otherwise.
Did Putin called and told you this? How about China Politburo, did you learn about their intentions in your last meeting with them? USA armed the Afghans against Russia, why Russia should not return the favor when they have everything to gain from it?

I wasn't saying anything. I wasn't a member of DP around that time I didn't even participate in that huge "Anti War, pro War" thread. But if you ask me now I was against the Idea of invading Iraq originally until I learned that Saddam was abusing oil for food program to smuggle out oil in return of huge cash. I neither support nor oppose the invasion of Iran. I'm not an American so it's not my tax money or anything that is going to be used in the war nor I'm an Iranian who's gonna suffer the consonances of war. I live in a neutral country and I offer neutral opinion. I'm free from republican and democratic debate (but politically I'm right wing). I know it very well that war will cause heavy casualties from both sides including civilians so I don't wish it happens ever. I kind of feel frustrated when I see western media putting so much emphasis on what Iranian puppet president says. And I equally feel the same way when people predict Dooms day saying Iranian invasion will lead to Armageddon and Russia will jump in to the war. Ohhh dear, I knew you aint the brightest bloke out there Gworld.. USA armed Afghans against USSR not Russia. Time has been changed since then. It's not the cold war era. We wont go anywhere Luckely, we've got the best president for years at the moment, probably, Russia will just watch it, and will be selling natural resources at higher prices. And if Iran has any money left - will sell some more weaponry to them too (US cant do much here, even with their sanctions that were made against our military companies) I can tell you the only countries that Russia would protect involving into a war is Belarus & Ukraine.

Ha....Ha.... lol I could see Russia standing by idly depending on how things are going... if Putin thinks US and Iran will just demolish each other and help Russia gain more power than yes why wouldn't he just be a spectator, but if the US is winning but their forces are severly depleted I can not see any reason why Russia, China, or North Korea wouldn't want to step in to put an end once and for all to Americas global parenting.

As far as this thread is concerned, I was only saying, Iran's claim of firing 11,000 rockets on US' military base withing the first minute of attack, And having rockets that can go to 250 KMs is somewhat ridiculous and thats all. May be they got the most devastating missiles, may be they have an extra ordinary defense system, may be Russia will stand with them, May be not, may be USA will destroy the line of defense in 1 week Or may be the war will never happen. There is no doubt Iran has a lot of rocketry. In 1991, during Desert Storm, Hussein was able to send off rockets that hit American bases and landed in Israel. That was 16 years ago. Iran has a well developed rocketry program. Some of the rocketry will be well targeted, some won't. It is no doubt that it is there though.
Is that why we are building 14 permanent bases and the largest embassy in the history of the world? Please enlighten the entire world on what the victory conditions are.
