I'm not sure how much good it will do, but we can send letters to the Red Cross and the UN High Commissioner for the Office of Human Rights asking them to intervene. Found sample letters and contact emails here.

Edit: I just decided to go ahead and do it. It took under 2 minutes. Please, if anyone wants to try to help -- just cut and paste the sample letter, sign it, and send it on to the contact emails. You never know, it could help .

What a shame. Is really hard breaking and makes me sick to the stomach that over 1 billion mother fuckers want the sharia law to become the law of the land.
I wonder what would they think if this happens to their own mothers, sisters, wife's and children ?

Muslims are forbidden to think outside of the quran.

    May God bless them.

The sad reality is that we get the government that we deserve. The Iranian people could overthrow their oppressors any time they wanted to. They outnumber the mad mullahs, the Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution, and the Basij Militia.

Yes, people would die -- lots of them -- but then it would be over. The way it is, they are dying slowly... at the convenience of their tormentors.

LOL. This is the funniest post in a long time. :D:D

Little willy, a known coward who found every medical excuse in the book for not enlisting in the army while claiming "his" country was under attack and then putting his tail between his leg and running away from USA while claiming "his" country was becoming socialist, advising Iranians to show courage and fight.

"A coward boasting of his courage may deceive strangers, but he is a laughing-stock to those who know him." ;)

shocking news!! Death sentence for adultery ? Then may be the men who were involved in this illicit relationship should also recv. same punishment

rebecca, do u really believe these agencies are going to stop such incidents, its just havoc, we all get some media attention if one of the agency intrudes into legal proceedings, the case will be on for a little longer but the woman is not going to escape the punishment

Live free or die: Death is not the worst of evils.

I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!

Sad to say, this is something that can no longer be stopped, unless the people in the country will change their religion (it will take millions of years to take effect). This is a result of ignorance and fanaticism. I don't mind about the old people killing each other. My emotions go to the children.

I don't know. But, I think that trying is better than to do nothing at all.

There was a protest in Washington DC on July 2nd:

Babak, I hope the protests will be enough for them to reconsider the stoning verdict, do you think it's possible?

Iranian protests weren't just for shariah laws in here. in fact stoning rarely happened in Iran I guess and also other shariah laws but guess such thing will be disapear and just remain in books when our regim changes.
