Directory owners, please post those IPs here which give spam submissions to your directories. The most serious spam submissions are those which have html code in the description, title are like "Thank you", "My feedback", and will have reciprocal link which are unreachable. If such an IP give me more than 5 links per day, I will block it. I'm really confused how they do that, since even the phplink directory designers don't know how to solve this problem. Most spam submissions are from Russia, they will submit with non English texts, submit to top and main categories, submit deep links. Since all the submissions are from different IPs, I'm not sure how to block them. Following are the IPs I blocked for the last 3 months: 74.52.249.242 74.53.125.34 89.178.148.49 85.238.109.201 85.238.111.48 66.232.117.81 85.255.117.250 77.232.8.36 However, no matter how many IPs you blocked, there will be new spam IPs. Are there any solutions to stop spam submissions?
If the scammers from Russia are sophisticated enough that the phplink developers don't understand their methods, wouldn't they have the capability to potentially change, alter or mask the IP address? Just a thought. Take care and best of luck!
