So my website went down again, and I tired of it. I got a 500 Internal Server error, and the IPS driver error. My host (Netfirms) explained the problem to me when I called them. They told me that my site was receiving to many database queries at the same time, and there is a max of 8 allowed with them. I didn't fully understand, what he was trying to say, but he was specific about me having to upgrade to a higher quality server that would cost extra $$. I probably only had about 2 users on at the same time, so I'm wondering that the hell is wrong with them. Are all other hosts like this? I'm considering starting a new forum, which I would expect 50+ users on at the same time, so what hosts wont do this. I'm strongly looking into mediatemple right now.
You are only allowed 8 queries? That's ridiculous! You definitely need to switch to a new host mediatemple is a good host, I used them before. hostgator.com is another good company (well to start up from).
I didn't fully understand the guy, be he said that if I get 8 queries within a specific time frame the site goes down. Right before it went down, I think google was indexing my site. It is ridiculous.
8 queries? Thats daylight robbery. I would swap regardless as no mySQL scripts could function properly with that.
