I've been a webmaster for quite some time now though this problem that I am faces has only started recently. Around 2 months ago my ISP called me and informed me that I has exceeded my bandwidth by over 200%...At first I thought it might be a neighborhood kid who thought he was a l33t h4cker for logging into an unsecured connection so i changed my router login and added a WEP password. Anyways long story short my ISP called me again and said that i've, yet again, exceded my bandwidth. So I asked them if they knew how this could be happening and they said that it could be due to an ftp program which makes sense because i am constantly uploading files to sites and starting new sites. So here is my question, have any other webmasters run into this problem? And if so how did you manage to still run your sites and not exceed your bandwidth?

I don't think ftp is a problem unless you use ftp to upload big file such as 1GB or 10GB in size.
I do encounter this problem few years back, but after it,i have switch to unmetered bandwidth broadband plan.
So,now i have not face any problem again with insufficient bandwidth.
