http://topduels.com/ At TopDuels.com you will be shown two presidential candidates at random. You can then vote for the one you prefer. You might have two republicans to choose from or two democrates to choose from or one of each. If there is a presidential candidate not available that you think should be an option, post their name here. The current options in the rotation are: Alan Keyes Barack Obama Dennis Kucinich Duncan Hunter Fred Thompson Hillary Clinton John Edwards John McCain Mike Gravel Mike Huckabee Mitt Romney Ron Paul Rudy Giuliani There is one vote per pair of options per IP. So you can't prefer Ron Paul over Hillary Clinton twice. If you get the same pair of options twice the second vote will override the first vote. The ID numbers of the candidates are never displayed to the user so it's not possible to just auto submit the form to stuff the ballot box. The server handles converting your vote to the candidate you've chosen. Refreshing the page will result in the same two options showing up. You have to vote on the options you've been shown. We'll see if Ron Paul can still find his way to the top.
You need a skip option, I don't even know 3 of them and I am guessing I wouldn't care at this time. Also didn't Thompson drop out?
There is no skip to avoid people skipping until there's a Ron Paul (or any other candidate) option. Even though a number of people are out of the race it will still be interesting to see how they fare in a preference vote. I want to see who is most likely to win in any possible scenario.
It's too random to mean anything the way it shows the results. They should break it down to show the results of each match up, not just the total votes one person gets. One person gets 75 votes, another 49, the person with 49 may only have had there name show up as an option half as many times.
When you go to the results page, you can then click on the name and it will show a break down of their results against the other candidates. Last I checked the only person beating McCain is Ron Paul. Because the selections are random, statistically they should all show up the same number of times. As per your observation I've added in a "Duels Won" percentage. That tells you the percentage of times they were chosen when they were an option. John McCain leads that at nearly 66%. Looking at the numbers there is quite a variance between candidates. John McCain has been an option 176 times and Mike Gravel has been an option 136 times.
