IpowerWeb Problem

Hi guys, i have a problem......dont we all but this is starting to get to me.

Around the 20th of May i registered a domain name with ipowerweb, went with them cause it was cheap and all i was going to do is set up a 301 redirect to my main site.

The domain i registers is scottishlad.com, i already own scottishlads.co.uk

Now i waited 48hours after i registered and i hadn't heard anything, so i emailed them asking for my login details so i could access the control panel.

I was told by their support team that there was a billing issue and to contact billing. Now at the time i was changing my credit card so i thought i had used the wrong one, i went to register it again only to find someone else had registered it. I was a little pissed off but in the end thats life.

I forgot all about it until i got my credit card bill through, they had charged me for the domain name.

So i got back in touch with them. Firstly asking how, if i had paid for it, could someone else register it and also for a refund.

The first reply i got gave me access details to the control panel, passwords and links to the control panel.....i tried to access it but they didn't work.

So i replied to them explaining that i couldn't access the control panel and it seems someone else has registered the domain.

Again the sent me my access details.

So again i replied saying i couldn't access it and gave them authorization to try themselves.

I then got a reply back saying that the nameservers weren't pointing to them and i had to point them to ipowerweb. (Now i would assume that this is because someone else registered it)

So anyway i replied saying that i cant change the nameservers for two reasons, the main one being that i dont have access to the control panel and the second is because it seems i dont own the domain.

    ....i'm waiting on their reply.

Could anyone point me in the best direction to go from here? I feel like i'm going round in circles with them

    Thanks
    Peter

They are quite good at making you feel that way! I would suggest contacting your credit card company.

Yeah i'm getting that sinking feeling.

To be honest i'm not that bothered, before someone had the scottishlads.com domain and it was a holding page for a homosexual website which some people confused with mine.

Its now just a page full of sales links.....so its not all that bad.

I'm going to wait until i get their next reply, i've already stated that i want a refund. I've simply asked them to try and access the control panel themselves.....of course it wont work for them so i hope they'll figure it out themselves.

I have registered many Chinese domains with Todaynic.com in China because the pricing was cheap.

At the time of registration I gave them the addresses of the primary and secondary servers.

I wanted to change the servers to that of another hosting company but I kept getting error messages and nobody bothered to reply to my emails.

Beware of cheap pricing because the services either wouldn't be there or that they would try to recover their losses when you renew.
