    Hi,

I tried to install the january software package from apple for £13. I paid, it said sync iTunes, I did so. Nothing happened.

This is what happens when you try and be clever and automate everything. Why not just have a download -> Install button? It's really annoying. It should be simply. Pay. Download.

    Specify "Not working".

You probably just upgraded the firmware, and there are only a few minor changes. (Which I would never pay for)

I got the 1.1.3 upgrade, then I bought the software package from iTunes i.e all the stuff the iphone has (stock, weather, maps) etc.

I press sync, like it says and niothing happens. I've read a few peoples guides and they say you have to restore the ipod!

    Tried this then?

Also, 1.1.3 hasn't been jailbroken yet. So if you ever planned to do this, you can forget it for now.

I don't want to loose all my songs. I bought this iPod off my dad so I can't easily get the music back on it :(. I don't want to jailbreak, I decided. 3rd party apps come out officially in february, so I'd rather have that + my warranty.
