I am trying to decide on a HD mp3 player (has to be HDD, as I already have a flash based one). I am really stuck between the iriver and ipod. I have seen other discussions about it, but I still don't really know.

The IRiver H120 is about £200 here, and the IRiver H140 is about £250, but I'll probs end up going for the H140, if I do get one of these, as in the UK, the H120 design is pretty poor imo, although the h140 design is nice.

There is the H320, but for £300, thats a bit too pricey. There is also a H320 Lite for about £200. If anybody has any idea what this is, I'd be grateful to know.

Then there is the Ipod, which is about £220 for the 20GB version, so there isn't much price difference.

    IPOD Pros
    - Love the design
    - Generally Cooler
    - Apparently better sorting

    IRiver Pros
    - Design looks good, not as nice but still good
    - Remote Control
    - FM Radio
    - You don't need software
    - A wider variety of formats

btw, they are actually the same in size and weight, approximately

anyway, if any of you can give me your opinions. Don't just post to say Ipod Rules, or Ipod sucks or whatever.

Also, if you have any better suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

    Thanks

I'm getting an Ipod for Xmas. The only thing that would make me change my mind is if apple release an Ipod with a color screen and wifi capability.

Has anybody here had a bad experience with either, or who owns an IRiver?
