I admit I have fallen a bit behind the times and am just starting to research buying an iPod. I had one quick question that I can't find a straight answer to, and thought maybe I would ask here. I have a bunch of mp3's files on my computer but I no longer have the CD I ripped them from. Can I transfer these to an iPod, or must I have the physical CD for these to be transferred to the iPod in whatever format Apple uses? Thanks for the responses. Tom
If i were you, I would by a "Zen Vision: M". Much better than the iPod and more 'lax about putting songs etc on!
I use iTunes, and don't have a problem with it. But it's kinda like using IE just because it came with your computer. You do not need iTunes if you have an iPod. There are plenty of far more powerful (and less restrictive) applications to use. Anapod is a good place to start. And ilounge.com has a ton of info on alternatives to iTunes - look here.
