I'm thinking about buying one of these. I've never been a big apple fan so I don't know anything about them, so here's a question or two...

    http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore?family=iPodnano

    1. Can I still put songs on the ipod without using itunes? Such as mp3's I already have downloaded in my windows media player.

    2. This ipod will work off my desktop pc with windows xp home right? Because I refuse to buy a apple computer as I hate apple lol.

    Thanks in advance!

    yes and yes.

You can put existing tracks on it either through itunes, or countless other ways (winamp has a plugin for it)

I use mine with my XP home :)

I was never a big ipod fan until I got it, now I use it every day..

I would only get the nano if you travel a lot or want to use it while running/working out.

Or if you only have a few thousand songs you want to keep.

I've got the iPod Video and it's kind of bulky if you ask me.

Never had the Nano but I've read about cracked screens and scratches.

But with Apple's new iPod Shuffle, you may want to consider that since it's very small, portable and has a built-in clip. :)

I use my nano for running. It works great with the arm-band. Make sure you get a nice case for it. They scratch easily :( .
