It was predicted that there will be great profit in IPL that attracted so many corporate houses to participate and get profit .But at this position it seems to huge loss for some big franchises because of poor performance. Still some teams that was underestimated, done great job . Do you think this concept will still work in next year and franchises will make better profit than this year? should there be some changes in this format ?
its hard to say who is making profits and who is not, there are big names attached to some of the teams, even though they don't perform well the big names will always get better advertisement opportunities! The big names like ponting, tendulkar, gilchrist etc may be part of losing sides but am sure their franchise will get advertisement opportunity because of these players,
kolkatta knight riders owner SRK has declared that he is made an profit and that also more than he expected. Other teams that are suspected to make profits are the 4 semi finalists with rajasthan royals with the strongest chance to make profits.
The only thingy that really interests me in IPL is the LIVE STREAM thats bloody free on their website! How much bandwidth are they giving away!! and its at a real good quality ... jus about a sec lag frm wats on television ! I nearly watched a whole match one it ! .. and its a real good thing for the Non Desi Desis to watch!
ya this is true, franchises are making profit but not as much as they expected .Hope they will increase their profit next year.
Well I think Rajasthan Royals gots a good money from it since they are least money spender and performance was excellent so far for them.
Definitely getting host of semi and final will help to maximize profit of mumbai indian's franchises .First semi will show actual strength and strategy of each team because they will play under huge pressure.
Sony Max the official Broadcaster also made profits from selling the advertisement slots as of this IPL session. The costs were as high as in T20 World cup and the TRP ratings of Max also increased above all the channels during primetime i.e. 7-12 .. And oh yes the BCCI did make huge profits( 350 Crores )
True well the final tickets are from 3000 EUR and up, 5-7k EUR for normal view, that is too much for Europeans too, for that kind of money I would buy some 7 feet telly and would have larger players as in live
