iPhone, you phone, we all phone .. 4 established Apple iPhone sites - predicted PR5!

So, the Apple iPhone has arrived! Is it all it's cracked up to be? Only time will tell. But here are some established websites to get you in on the action. These site will only increase in popularity and PR in the months to come.

Please note, I have just moved these sites to a new server, so there is a slight lapse in the traffic/stats because of that. And Awstats hasn't updated yet (no referrers), so I'll also be using Webalizer and AXS stats.

• PR1 (predicted PR4) iPhone blog since April 22. Great keyword name. Runs on WordPress with a cool free iPhone template that has been customized extensively.
• The site currently displays iPhone products/reviews via Amazon affiliate feeds. You could easily start posting and reviewing products yourself and through the WordPress plugin system can add more features such as reviews, a forum etc. and turn it into a "proper" iPhone accessories/customization blog with product reviews, etc.
• The site also has additional iPhone content (1,143 posts in 7 categories), some of which auto-updates via RSS feeds.
• Without any active promotion, the site received 460 unique visitors in June. Site has also been accepted at TLA (Text Link Ads), but no income so far.

any iphone trademark violations?

 

Apple doesn't own the trademark to "iPhone". In any case there are 100s of sites with the word "iPhone" (and, for that matter, "Apple", "iPod", etc.) in their name, and as long as it qualifies as fair use and is not used to try and mislead the public that it is an official site, I don't foresee problems. Why would Apple have a problem with an unofficial site promoting and selling its products?
