I just got the new iPhone 3Gs and am in heaven. My best sponsor just came out with an iPhone app yesterday so I can check my stats, chat, and more. Unfortunately you cannot jailbreak 3Gs phones for another week or so, but when I can I'll be set.
i dont like it, its no diff than any other cheap phone ive had. the first day i got it i broke it also by putting the sim card holder in the wrong way, so phoned O2 and they said £200 to get it fix, sadly i bought on pay as you go so i wasnt going to see a £300+ phone go down the drain.
I love mine!! I got a 3Gs, and it's wonderful. The only problem I have with this iphone is the battery life span. When you use too many times a day like I use mine, the battery runs out quick!! Having said this, it's the best phone I've had so far!!!
Unfortunately my carrier doesn't offer the iPhone, but I agree that if you don't want to start a 2 year contract and you already have a phone, the iPod Touch is pretty sweet. Functions like an iPhone and can use 90% of the apps. I have a WIMAX WiFi card that allows me to have my own mobile wifi connection so the combination of the 2 is bad assed. My netbook and iPod Touch always have internet access where ever I am. I would say it's definitely worth it, but if the price is too much to handle, then don't get it. You can make and receive calls from a $20 phone and every major network is 3G now, actually 4G is more of a selling point as 3G is going to be obsolete pretty soon anyway. I would be more concerned with the network right now than the phone. Networks like Verizon are far behind everyone else and will be touting 3G when everyone else is on WIMAX, or 4G.
It depends. BlackBerries pretty much beat the iPhone in every category hands down except for the apps. A jailbroken iPhone is a lot of fun though and adds a lot to it. If you're looking for some fun, and a lot of ways to kill time, then the iPhone is great. If you want more of a business approach to your phone, then a Bold or Tour is the way to go. I'd stay far away from AT&T if its possible though. They are some scoundrels. However, if you're wanting an iPhone, I suggest the 3g. The 3gS really isn't that much nicer, and for $100 bucks less you get pretty much the same thing, just a little less space (really, who can use 8GB of music/iPhone video/content anyway on a phone?)
what applications is everyone using and are they paid ones? i mean it doesnt even play mp3 ringtones unless cracked if im right.
