I think that iPhones are much more popular and have a lot of apps already. But, Android has much more free apps, and a majority of its apps are free - due to Google wanting people to develop apps, as opposed to Apple who are very selective as to what makes the App Store. Try both handsets out and then you can make up your own mind
I would vote for android but that is because I don't like the way apple handles customers i've had a few bad experiences as well as hearing horror stories from friends
Go for iPhone, as Apple is now concentrating in building varies IOS Apps that can be used to perform n number of tasks.........Andriod market has just started to spread its legs but it is not as mature as Apple iPhone......
Android, no doubt. You'll have access to a collection 3rd-party applications equal to (if not greater) than iOS has. You'll most definitely enjoy the freedom Android allows you. My only complaint about using Android over iOS is that there isn't a Resident Evil game for Android (yet ).
Iphone and Android are equally great As My husband has iPhone 4 and I prefer to go for android although I have nokia now but Android will be my next choice. Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo upgraded with Android OS, v2.3 (Gingerbread).
I currently have iPod Touch 4g. So I would rather prefer iPhone. Android has different versions of OS for every device, iOS is the same everywhere. So you will not face any problems with apps.
i would go for an android phone though. As most of good android phones have larger screen. htc incredible s is a good android smatphone. or the samsung galaxy s2 is a killer smartphone as the iphone 5 may be unable to catch it.
I'm not an apple fan but I'll go with the iPhone. Firstly, iOS is stable and it receives regular patches and updates. Android however takes very long to produce software updates, some android phones received updates slower than other android phones. Even though it's open source, this causes fragmentation whereby individual brand names will develop their own Android OS for their own line of phones, causing some inconsistency in the performance. Next is the variety of apps, and yes many foreseen that the Android market will catch up with App Store, but how long will that take? So my advice, go for an iPhone, plus its easier to use than android imo, it has better and more simple user interface, android interface looks too messy for me.
