I am thinking about purchasing my first iPhone. I see the new 3G S is coming out and i tried to compare that to the 3G and see whats worth more. 3G S 16GB - $199 with new service 3G S 32GB - $299 with new service 3G 8GB -$99 with new service 3G 16GB - $150 with new service I def wont need 32GB...i dont even know if i'll use 16GB...i'm not planning on storing a lot of photos or any music. What is the biggest difference between 3G S and the 3G....i heard it's 2 times faster but i've never heard anyone complain about their iphone before so how fast can it get? Is it worth spending $199 to get 3G S or just go with 3G for $99? How many photos can i store with only 8GB?
Since, 3G S is new it will contain new features. So, you can buy it as it will be better than the simpler one. - Digital -
I currently own a 3G and am hoping to get the 3G S sometime this year. Although the 3G is not slow I definitely wouldn't mind having something much quicker. Also I only went with the 8 GB model thinking I wouldn't even fill that up but boy was I wrong! I got hooked on donwloading videos and that filled it up fast! Also if you get the 3G than you are buying old technology for not much less. I would say just watch the videos on Apple's website and decide how much the new options are worth to you.
If the cheaper one suites your needs, go for it If this is for luxury, go for the more expensive one to get satisfaction juice
I own a iPhone 3G 8GB and I have to say I love it and it stores a lot of pictures. I went to the Apple store to test out the new 3G S and I have to say I found no real difference in speed. The main difference in the 3G S is that it can record video. If you have any other questions, then you can PM me
